This is my second experience visiting here and this will be the only place I will be visiting when I have an emergency. They are the most caring and compassionate people I have come across in emergency vet care. This visit I had to put my 18 year old cat down. It was time. He was displaying all the symptoms of his body shutting down. I took him in at 2 am and was not rushed and was able to move at my own pace. As far as pricing, they were not too much more expensive than my regular vet. I highly recommend coming here for your emergency vet needs.
They saved my cat’s life.

My cat was behaving abnormally one night and my gut told me not to wait until I could try for an appointment somewhere the next day, and I’m SO glad I made that choice. It turned out she had a massive blockage in her stomach from eating some sort of string.

The facility itself is clean and comfortable, which is always nice to see, but I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Abbie and Dr. Amy are incredible. They’re kind and knowledgeable, but most importantly they are transparent. They answered questions without using a bunch of fluff or jargon, explained costs to me in a line item format, and always kept me informed as to what was going on. I had to leave my cat overnight for surgery, but they called before and after the procedure to let me know how she was doing, and set me up for success in making sure she healed post-op. During all of this, they were also so comforting (because as much as I tried to pretend like I was holding it together, it was pretty clear I was a mess).

To the person scrolling through reviews right now as they wait for their pet to get emergency treatment, hoping to find comfort in the good experiences of others at this facility: your pet is in good hands.
We’ve been here three times and everyone has been really understanding and kind. Our dog HATES the vet and gets extremely aggressive when shots are needed. Even though it’s a horrible stressful situation, the folks here remain really understanding and professional. They let me ask a ton of questions and are great at handling nervous dog parents.
From the moment we called to the moment we left, the care and compassion was exceptional. Miranda took my call and was diligent in listening and guiding me on potential options. She was as kind when we met her at EVS. Dr. Amy Smith was an amazing kind and knowledgeable Vet. She was caring with Ethel. We never felt pressured for services. Dr. Smith clearly explained all the care options to my husband and I. We felt listened to and our wishes were taken into consideration. Thank you EVS!! Ethel is home and doing great! Highly recommend!!
Such incredibly caring people, for the short time we had to be there, I've never met a vet staff more caring about our dog and us. 400 stars, can't recommend enough
I had to take my dog for seizures in middle of the night and brought him to Lisle Emergency Vet.
I was very pleased with Miranda at the front desk, who was super nice and informative.
And then Dr. Amy who kept coming out and informing me of what was happening and how my Joey (dog) was doing in the back.
She even brought Joey out after a couple hours because he was not calming down in back so she thought if he was by his Mommy he might feel better. The office had no other dogs around at this point in waiting room so she was able to. I thought how many doctors would think that, let alone actually do it. Very compassionate! I will definitely be going back, without a doubt. Very impressed. Thank you for taking good care of my Joey.
I can't express how blown away I am by the compassion shown by all staff members, but especially Dr. Amy. Thank you for all that you guys do. You're appreciated deeply.
We had to rush our beagle in to the ER late on a Saturday night in mid-July. Dr. Graves and her team were able to diagnose the issue. They were calm and reassuring in a moment of extreme duress for the beagle and her people. When trying to diagnose, they asked us appropriate questions, and then performed appropriate diagnostic tests. They made sure we were aware of any tests they were performing, in addition to the costs of each test. She was successfully diagnosed and provided with necessary meds, that held her over for the rest of the weekend, until we were able to see a specialist on Monday. We will be forever grateful for the care our beagle received .
