Erika was amazing and super helpful with my pets! Never want to need an emergency veterinarian, but when it’s necessary this is the best place to take your fur babies.

My son and husband were driving cross country in our motorhome from Minnesota to Kentucky with a trailer in tow, headed to an area qualifier motocross race for our son. Our dog, Zuki (English Bulldog) was along for the ride. Along the way, a tire blew on the motorhome which was loud and sent poor Zuki into a panic attack that progressed into a heart attack. No amount of time, quiet, separation... anything was helping. He was visibly trembling and panting which worsened over time, escalating to a point where he began gasping for breath and collapsed just before my husband could get off the turnpike and to the Emergency Clinic. They rushed Zuki in, and the vets met him at the door, taking Zuki into the back, putting him on oxygen immediately and giving him a sedative to calm him down. They indicated that his gums were blue and that his airway had become inflamed due to the labored breathing. I was at home when all of this happened, and received phone updates from my 14 year old son as things took a turn. I answered the phone to hear his crying and screamed "Mom, I think Zuki is dying!" - I can't begin to explain how helpless this made me feel, not being there for him or for Zuki. My son took control of the situation, calling the vet and helped navigate directions for my husband to get there was quickly as possible ( in a 70 foot rig). My daughter and I were at home, on speaker with my son and husband, praying over Zuki as he gasped for air while my husband sped down the highway, hoping it wasn't too late. There isn't a doubt in my mind that Dr. Amy Smith saved Zuki's life. We will never forget this experience, and because of her quick action, Zuki made it home to Minnesota today. He is sound asleep in his bed, snoring - just like a bulldog should. May God bless everyone at EVS in Lisle, IL. Thank you. The Leaf Family
We had a great experience with the emergency vet team when we recently brought our dog in. From the very first phone call, we appreciated the transparency about the upfront cost of the initial exam. When we arrived, our dog was seen immediately, which gave us so much peace of mind during a stressful situation. The team provided clear recommendations, and the vet tech took the time to walk us through everything so we could make the best decision for our dog without feeling rushed or pressured. Huge shout out to Rachele for the kindness, compassion, and understanding she showed us throughout the visit. She made an incredibly stressful experience so much easier, and we are truly grateful.

We had to take one of our dogs late on a Sunday evening, and their team was extremely informative, caring, and explained everything and our options. Not once did we feel that they were forcing any treatment nor push costly procedures without options. They explained costs and allowed us to make a informed decision. Dr Jessica Graves and Abby (I hope I spelled that right and remembered it right!) were just awesome! I know there was one other who assisted but never were able to get their name. I would absolutely recommend them for emergency care in the future.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Bessette and the staff at ER Vet Services in Lisle. Our sweet Brody was refusing to walk this past Sunday and was just really out of it. We took him straight there. We had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to him that day. Dr. Bessette and the staff were so kind and patient with us, and amazing to our sweet 11 year old pup. Our whole family was there including two very upset teenagers (upset mom and dad as well). They were so kind and understanding. We are forever grateful. - The Drakes
