I brought my beautiful little Australian mini shepherd Sundae to the vet Sunday evening March 8 2026.She was seen by my vet Saturday but was not getting better and wasn’t improving. When I arrived, I was seen by both an assisting vet tech and the doctor. While they were polite, the interaction felt a bit rushed and to-the-point. I didn’t feel a strong sense of compassion, and the explanation of her condition and treatment options felt somewhat vague rather than thorough and reassuring. They didn’t explain all aftercare thorough an at one point the vet briefly annoyed. This is someone’s family they shouldn’t do that.

Unfortunately, I had to make the incredibly difficult decision to put her down that same evening. It was one of the hardest choices I’ve ever had to make, and I found myself second-guessing it both that night and the following day.

When I later called about picking up her ashes, I spoke with Rachele. She was exactly the person I needed in that moment. She took the time to review Sundas notes and clearly explain what had been going on, drawing from her experience in a way that was both compassionate and reassuring. She helped me understand that I made the right decision and brought me a level of comfort I truly needed.

Rachele showed a level of care and professionalism that stood out, and I’m very grateful for her kindness during such a difficult time. While my overall experience had its challenges, her support made a lasting difference. Thank you, Rachele, for turning a very hard situation into something a little more bearable.

Dr and team just because you have a degree a such you should be learning from Rachele how to interact with patients especially in times of death, that’s truly the art of your profession.

Also note *** there is a review of a shift change at 6 o’clock and tha a customers told they had to wait until 6 for the next dr. You all replied and said that doesn’t happen. The SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME AND ME AND MY FAMILY
AT 5:15/5:40 was told we had to wait for the next dr that comes in at 6pm. So yes they do tell patients that.

The doctor saved my dogs life. Literally. She had pyometria, and they were available when other emergency centers said “we have no doctors on call tonight” I highly recommend them

Very professional and great expertise, walked me through every possible outcome and were up front with the cost.

My baby is now recouperating and I have the doctor there to thank (whose name I don’t remember because all I remember is my dog was near death)

Had to take my dog in from accidental ingestion and they were quick, kind and informative. Abbey was by far the most best vet tech I’ve met who was very kind to me crying hysterically and my dog. She was professional the entire time and remained calm. I would def come here again.

My rabbit passed away unexpectedly at home and I was able to bring him the Lisle Emergency vet and they were compassionate and kind enough to make a paw print for me while I was there. I would definitely bring my dogs there for emergency care.

brought my dog here right when they opened on Christmas eve- the only time my busy work schedule would allow when he started limping badly that morning. The staff was efficient, thorough and caring. They respected my wish to keep him with me due to his anxiety without hesitation. As a former vet tech, I have high standards for the care my dog receives and this place met them all. My parents have had good experiences going through some hard things here. Dr. Feutz and I agreed that it was reasonable to start my pup on a trial of pain meds and revisit x rays if we didn't see improvement. Within an hour of his first dose he was good as new. We also overheard other patients dealing with tougher stuff than us receiving the same thorough, considerate, and competent care. If you have an urgent or emergent need for your pet, this is definitely the place to go.

Accidentally gave insulin to the wrong cat on Saturday night. Both ER vets were amazing, soooo caring and understanding. My old girl was in great hands all night. Wonderful facility and staff!
